The New York City Raw Food Restaurant Section Now Includes:
* Pure Juice & Takeaway (just down the corner from Pure Food & Wine)
* Health Nuts, Westerly Natural Foods, LifeThyme, and Organic Avenue—all of which sell organic produce and offer a raw food bar and juices/smoothies.
* Sacred Chow, a cooked vegan bistro that offers smoothies, juices and some raw food options.

Raw Soul in New York City has been added to The Raw Food Restaurant Guide. I have eaten at Raw Soul before, so I don't know how I overlooked it.

Florida has its first raw food restaurant. Located in downtown St. Augustine, The Present Moment Cafe serves organic raw food appetizers, dishes, and desserts. Yvette and Nathan Schindler opened the cafe, and both were trained by Chad Sarno, a well-known raw food chef.
The Raw Food Restaurant Guide has been updated to include The Present Moment Cafe. Thanks to Marilyn and Carol for the tip! Both Carol and Marilyn couldn't say enough good things about this restaurant.

I've been told that Bryan Au's Parawdise raw food restaurant has closed. Sad news, since I know Bryan Au was very enthusiastic about raw food and his restaurant.

Costa Mesa (California) has its first raw food restaurant, called 118 Degrees, and located on Bristol Street. I'm guessing the restaurant is named 118 degrees, because 118 degrees is the temperature at which enzymes are destroyed (when food is cooked).
If you're in Orange County, go check it out. The food looks delicious, and it's all organic.

Wisconsin now has a raw food place. It's called The Raw Deal, and located on Broadway Street in Menomonie.
The Raw Deal serves smoothies and has a deli case filled with raw food dishes (raw food pizza, quiche, vegan burger, hummus and crackers), and delicious raw food desserts.

What city has the largest number of raw food restaurants?
If you include neighboring cities (metro area), the answer would be Los Angeles.
At last count, Los Angeles has 10 raw food restaurants. Of course, this includes neighboring areas such as Santa Monica, Redondo Beach, Sherman Oaks, and West Hollywood.
Leaf Cuisine has 3 raw food restaurants—one in LA, one in West Hollywood (new), and one in Sherman Oaks. Then there's RawVolution and Juliano's Raw, both located in Santa Monica. Other Los Angeles raw food restaurants include Good to Go in Huntington Beach, and Terra Bella in Redondo Beach.

North Carolina has its first partially-raw food restaurant.
The Garden of Eden (located in Gastonia, inside Sprouts) offers some raw food dishes, a raw salad bar, smoothies, and cooked vegetarian dishes. The Garden of Eden Cafe has been added to the Raw Food Restaurant Guide.

Jade Cafe, located on Griffith Park Blvd. (@ Sunset Blvd.) in Los Angeles, has changed its name to CRU. (Thanks to Paul for the tip!)
CRU in Los Angeles does not have a website yet.
Anybody know why they named the restaurant CRU?

East Coast Vegan in New Jersey has closed it doors, after serving raw vegan food for 3 years. (Thanks to Lisa for the tip.)
